Washington Dulles International Airport:
Take the Dulles Access Road towards
Washington (no toll, but it's parallel to the
Dulles Toll Road, Rt 267) 13 miles to I- 495
North. Travel 8 miles to I-270 North. Stay on
I-270 North about 15 miles to exit 15B. At
second light make a left into the DOE complex.
Check in at the guard station (North Entrance).
From
Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport:
Take the George Washington Parkway North 12
miles to I-495 North (or you can take 66 West to
495 North). Proceed on I-495 North to I-270.
Stay on I-270 North about 15 miles to exit 15B.
At second light make a left into the DOE
complex. Check in at the guard station (North
Entrance).
From
BWI (Baltimore/Washington International) Airport:
Take I-95 (or the Baltimore-Washington
Parkway) South to I-495 West (Silver Spring).
Follow I- 495 West 9 miles to I-270 North. Stay
on I-270 North about 15 miles to exit 15B. At
second light make a left into the DOE complex.
Check in at the guard station (North Entrance).
From
Washington Metro
System:
Take the RED Line to Shady Grove Metro
Station. Taxis are available. Proceed on I-370
West to I-270 North. Exit 15B. At second light
make a left into the DOE complex. This is
approximately 10 miles. Check in at the guard
station (North Entrance).
Based on your clearance level or national
citizenship, the security staff will check you
in or call the individuals who you are going to
see. The Office of Fusion Energy Sciences is
located on the second floor of G-wing and J-wing
in the DOE complex. The room and phone numbers
